Amundi Technology participated in the BVI Fund Operations Conference 2025, continuing a tradition from the past four years. The event took place on February 25th in Frankfurt and is primarily dedicated to asset managers.
Panel Discussions on AI, New Technologies, and DORA
The program featured 40 presentations and panel discussions with nearly 60 experts and over 30 exhibiting companies. Key topics discussed included the challenges fund companies face regarding artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digitalization, as well as the implementation of DORA and efficient data usage.
The team chose to explore the theme: Trends to Transformation: Enhancing Operations with Innovative Solutions. A comprehensive overview of the current trends in asset management was presented by the speakers of the day — Konstantin Hörl and Christian Neuenhaus— underscoring a deep understanding of the key challenges faced by the audience. These challenges included pressure on margins, rising costs, and the imperative to keep pace with rapidly evolving technology. The unique position of Amundi Technology to meet the needs of asset managers was highlighted. Offerings emphasized flexibility, modularity, and embedded services, supported by a diverse range of products, including ALTO Investment, ALTO Wealth & Distribution, and Amundi Intermediation.
A particularly intriguing aspect of the conversation was the industry's shift from traditional asset managers to hybrid models. This transformation reflected a significant wealth transfer and an increasing demand for customization. Asset managers were seeking to diversify their offerings and enhance their support for distribution partners in delivering effective investment advice. To conclude with the current topic in mind, the role of artificial intelligence in this evolving landscape was also explored, introducing the AI product, ALTO Studio, designed to assist and empower clients even further.
To conclude, the event was a success, attracting more than 100 attendees to our speaking slot. The team connected with numerous prospects and identified several promising potential clients.
